Our client, a leading mechanical engineering concultancy firm operating in Ireland and the UK, is looking for a dynamic, strong accounts person who has the experience and knowledge to excel in this role. The volume of work requires a strong full time Accountant to provide accurate accounts on a timely basis for management.

Main Responsibilities

• Maintain debtors and creditors ledger
• Collating employee timesheets and processing payroll
• Managing employee payroll related queries
• Maintain up to date knowledge on payroll related legislation and revenue requirements
• Prepare and file all Revenue returns
• Payment of creditors
• Prepare and maintain bank reconciliations
• Matching of purchase orders and invoices and price checking including follow up of any issues regarding shortages or credits.
• Fleet Management
• General business administration
• Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L
• Preparation of cash flow projections and annual budgets
• Preparation of files for auditors

Requirements

• ACCA
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
• Strong working knowledge of Sage
• Proficient in Excel
• Must have experience in ROS, VAT Returns and Payroll
• Hours: 7:30am - 5pm Monday-Friday. 44 hour week
