Location: Roscommon Town
Salary: €45,000 - €55,000 DOE
Position: Full Time

Experienced Practice Accountant required for a progressive accountancy firm. Our client offers a range of accountancy, tax and business services to a client base comprised mainly of SME’s. They are a provider of value-added taxation and business solutions in Dublin and Roscommon that are focused on helping their clients achieve financial freedom and seeking exceptional Professionals to join their team of Taxation and Accounting Specialists.

Applicants must have full working rights for Ireland.

Role and responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of client accounts
  • Providing general business and tax advice to the SME sector
  • Accounts preparation including reviewing files
  • Personal and corporate Taxation
  • Scheduling, planning, and reviewing some audits and audit exempt jobs
  • Manage client relationships ensuring high level of client service
  • Preparation and completion of Income Tax and Corporation Tax computations and returns to Revenue
  • Plan workflow and manage their own time and time on jobs.

Skills and requirements

  • Qualified or PQ Accountant Minimum of 5 years practice experience (essential) ideally in a small to medium size practice.
  • Sound knowledge of accounts preparation, tax and audit.
  • Must be pro-active with drive, and enthusiasm.
  • Proficient in numerous accounting software packages.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Commercial acumen
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and with attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as work on own initiative as and when required.
  • Working to Targets & KPI’s
  • Building long term relationships with colleagues & clients
  • Ongoing learning, training & personal improvement
  • Providing a ‘Wow Factor’ customer service
  • Ability to commute/relocate: Position is based in our office in Co Roscommon
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • Accounting experience: 5 years (required)
  • Language: English (preferred)
  • Licence/Certifications
  • ACCA (preferred)
  • CIMA (preferred)
  • ACA (preferred)
