NexVentur is looking to hire an experienced Project Manager to join our clients’ team to lead the delivery of Phase 3 of a large-scale residential infrastructure development in Dublin. With Phases 1 and 2 already delivered, this final phase will involve roads, footpaths, drainage, and utility services to support the rollout of new homes.
The role offers an excellent opportunity to manage a high-profile project from early groundwork to handover, with approximately two years of construction remaining.
Our client specialises in high-quality residential and commercial groundwork packages, with a strong commitment to safety, delivery, and collaboration. This is a senior site-based role requiring strong leadership and technical delivery skills.
Role and responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of Phase 3 infrastructure works, including road construction, footpaths, utilities, foul/storm drainage, and service ducting.
- Manage site operations, ensuring works are delivered on-time, within budget, and to specification.
- Coordinate subcontractors, engineers, plant operators, and direct labour, ensuring alignment with programme and safety standards.
- Liaise with local authorities, Irish Water, ESB, and utility providers throughout the delivery process.
- Track project progress through scheduling tools and progress reports; identify and resolve delays or risks.
- Oversee site H&S implementation, audits, toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and our clients’ internal safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed site records, including daily diaries, variations, client correspondence, and progress claims.
- Attend client and design team meetings; represent our client as the main site lead.
- Report to the Contracts Manager and support commercial teams with forecasting, cost tracking, and handovers.
Qualifications, skills & experience
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- 7+ years’ experience in civil infrastructure, with a strong background in residential development projects.
- Proven ability to manage site development works, including roads, utilities, water, foul drainage, and footpaths.
- Excellent understanding of Irish regulations, BCAR, health & safety, and local authority procedures.
- Strong leadership and communication skills – capable of coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
- Skilled in programme management, resource planning, commercial awareness, and risk mitigation.
- Proficient in MS Project or equivalent scheduling software, along with Excel and document control systems.
