With offices on the East Coast and projects across Australia, they are now seeking a Civil Supervisor to assist in overseeing and managing civil construction projects in Melbourne. Role and responsibilities

As a Civil Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing civil construction projects on-site, ensuring that all activities are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate and supervise site-based teams, ensuring that work is completed safely and efficiently.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Supervising and coordinating on-site activities, including subcontractors, machinery, and labor, to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and local regulations.
• Monitoring and overseeing the progress of civil works, including bulk earthworks, landfill construction, and material processing.
• Working closely with site engineers and operational staff to resolve issues on-site and make sure work is being completed to specification.
• Managing daily site reports, ensuring proper documentation, and tracking project progress against timelines.
• Assisting with resource allocation and the delivery of materials and equipment as needed to meet project requirements.
• Reporting project progress to senior management and escalating any issues or delays that may impact timelines or budgets.
• Ensuring quality control procedures are followed and managing quality assurance on-site.
• Helping to maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in civil construction, with hands-on experience in supervising large-scale infrastructure projects, such as bulk earthworks or landfill construction.
• A qualification in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field (preferably a diploma or degree).
• Proven experience in supervising teams and managing on-site operations, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards of safety and quality.
• Strong understanding of civil construction processes, industry standards, and local regulations.
• Solid problem-solving skills to address site challenges and ensure timely project completion.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with site teams, clients, and subcontractors.
