Established in 2010, providing the industry with an alternative construction company firmly focused on site productivity and innovative solutions, reducing overheads and client costs to ensure top quality, highly marketable projects completed on time. Our client can undertake civil work projects including – bulk earthworks, detailed earthworks, demolition, and civil construction works including sewer and stormwater installation, services installation, retaining walls construction, pavement construction, streetlighting, fencing and landscaping requirements.
Our client will be visiting the UK and Ireland to speak with shortlisted candidates who will be interviewed online over the coming weeks and successful candidates will be invited to meet then in person.
Each candidate must be able to complete a police certificate check that comes back clear due to sponsorship requirements.
Role and responsibilities
- We are seeking motivated Drainers to work in our inground services crews and assist with installation of sewer mains, storm water drainage systems, water & gas mains in ongoing civil subdivisions and commercial plumbing projects.
- Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Installing & testing new sewer mains, manholes, pump stations & pressure mains.
- Installing & testing new stormwater drainage pipes, pits and infiltration structures.
- Installing & testing new water mains, fire mains and water services.
- Installing & testing new gas main networks and services.
- Installing new power & communications ducts, cables, and pits.
- Assisting with set-out and excavation of trenches.
- Setting up and maintaining dewatering systems and pumps.
- Ensuring all pipe work is installed in accordance with the plans & technical specifications.
- Operating plant and machinery as required.
- Collaborating with Project Managers, Engineers and Site Supervisors to plan works effectively and prevent delays.
- Ensuring effective and efficient use of resources.
- Actively communicating and promoting Tracc values and commitments.
Skills & Experience
- To succeed in this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of documented experience in installation of inground services with a minimum of 2 contactable work references.
- Current and valid Driver’s Licence.
- Hold or have the ability to attain relevant tickets (Construction Induction (White Card) Certification), licenses and accreditations.
- Specialist technical capacity.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic computing skills, including email and organizational management systems.
- Sound knowledge of plant operations, construction techniques, and HSEQ regulations.
- Familiarity with project plans and specifications.
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Sound decision-making and analytical thinking.
- Trustworthy, reliable, and open-minded.
- Demonstrated self-motivation with a positive outlook.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test.
- Clean criminal record and be able to obtain a police clearance.
- Ability to meet the requirements to apply for a visa to live and work permanently in Australia (PR potential), for you and/or your family.
