Our client is growing property development firm, based in Sydney, with a number of large projects underway and in the pipeline. They are high performing business with a collaborative and growth culture.
The Role
This role is suited to someone who likes a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The right person will be responsible for overseeing the entire internal Accounting function and will be expected to report to the Director of the company and other stakeholders.
Roles and responsibilities will include:
- Maintenance of General Ledger, Prepare all month-end and statutory financial statements
- P/L and Balance Sheet reporting
- Oversee the payroll
- Overseeing and training accounts payable staff
- Act as key contact with external accountants and auditors and other stakeholders
- Prepare Business Activity Statements
- Inter Company loans reconciliation
- Look after the rental collections for the properties tenanted
- Assist the Director with ad hoc project work
- Forecasting
- Assist with cash flow/budget preparation
- Preparation of responses to ATO queries
- Take lead on any ad hoc projects that may come up

The right candidate will have:
- Ideally 10+ years experience as a Financial Controller
- CA/CPA Qualification
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Advanced Excel and computer skills
- Ambitious and highly motivated
- Experience with Xero accounting software
- Highly analytical problem solving skills
