A nationwide Australian landscaping business with offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Auckland, our client is going through a burst of growth launching exciting new company divisions with a number of new roles and career paths available. They are looking for a talented Fleet Mechanic to join the team.

Role and responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs to a large fleet of vehicles, Trailers and various other landscaping machinery and equipment
• Attend onsite breakdowns
• Carry out repair work in our workshop and in the field
• Complete all relevant electronic job cards and reports
• Uphold our high safety standards across all of our assets and operations
• Ensure our workshop is always operating in a safe and clean manner

Qualifications and experience

• Qualified mechanic (all qualifications considered)
• Experience with maintaining vehicles and trailers up to 2 tonne GVM
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• High attention to detail and focus on doing the job right the first time
• Relevant Trade qualifications
• Trades person License (MVTC)
• Hand tools
• Experience in light vehicle servicing and repairs
• Diesel experience is desirable
• Must hold a current driver’s license
• Truck license and forklift licence is highly desirable but not essential
