The Grade 2 will demonstrate extensive or special knowledge, experience, and competence in any of the specialist modalities or areas of additional responsibilities.

Proven communication skills are essential for this role.

Skills and Experience

• The Grade 2 Radiographer is required to undertake routine and specialised medical imaging procedures within the Medical Imaging Department and is required to assist with the daily operation of imaging services including the supervision, training, and wellbeing of the imaging staff and students in conjunction with the leadership team within this area.
• Participate in the department rotating roster
• Demonstrate multi-modality experience
• Participate in Quality Improvement Projects

Skills and Requirements

Formal Qualifications

• Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Radiations (or equivalent)

Essential

• Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Victorian DOH Radiation user licence
• High level radiographic skills across multiple modalities
• Awareness of all aspects of radiation safety as they pertain to the practices of Medical Imaging
• Excellent communication and teamwork-based skills
• Digital Literacy

Desirable

• Previous experience in with working with undergraduate students and demonstrated education skills
• Ability to work independently
• Evidence of Quality Improvement involvement
