HVAC Maintenance Engineer – Sligo - 7325

NexVentur is hiring a HCAV Maintenance Engineer to join our clients’ team in the West of Ireland, a well-established Mechanical Engineering company with nationwide projects and maintenance service contracts. The successful candidate will be based in Sligo for a full-time service contract, commencing in April 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a reputable company and contribute to a long-term maintenance project.
Role and responsibilities
- You will be responsible for all preventative and reactive maintenance on all mechanical plant.
- Liaise with specialist contractors, such as Medical gases, fume extractions etc.
- The following are some of the items that will need to be maintained:
- AHUs
- Extract fans
- Gas fired boilers
- Oil Boilers
- Domestic and Booster Pumps.
- Water storage tanks
- Hot water calorifiers
- Distribution pipe work and ductwork
- All domestic plumbing systems
- A knowledge of AC would be a plus but not essential
- It is a requirement that you become familiar with all details and specifications on the service contract.
- Assisting Contracts Manager in developing and implementing commissioning plans on site.
- Maintaining KD Group Document Management System.
- It is a requirement that you become familiar with all details and specifications on the service contract.

Qualifications, skills & experience
- 3+ years’ Industrial Plumbing experience
- National Craft/Trade Certificate
- Full drivers licence
- Keen eye for detail during preventative maintenance.
- A good fault-finding ability for reactive maintenance who has a general knowledge of ventilation and plumbing systems.
- Competent knowledge of navigating building management systems to aid fault finding.
- Liaising with client-based site team and end users on a daily basis
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with good commercial acumen.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Safe Pass, Manual Handling. OFTEC and RGI would be advantageous
- Ability to use a laptop/tablet is required.
