Our client is one of the most recognised energy infrastructure names in Australia and has a large number of live and upcoming projects throughout Australia (Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Tasmania) and is hoping to speak to Project Engineers at varying levels. Typical projects range between $5m-$50m (although projects $50m-$100m+ are common), primarily across substations (greenfield build or brownfield asset replacement) and transmission line construction / life extension work.
Projects tend to primarily be regional, with roughly 25% of projects based in metropolitan areas. Project Engineers would be required to work on-site with general rosters of 5/2 for substation work and 3 weeks on / 1 week off for transmission line projects. Salary uplift is paid while working away, as well as living away from home allowance (LAFHA).
Successful candidates must have a technical qualification relating to the industry (bachelor degree or equivalent) and 3-10 years project experience in utilities, infrastructure or construction.
Preferred candidates will have a solid understanding of HSEQ process and requirements, as well as an understanding of risk and opportunity management processes. Exposure to all stages of the project lifecycle is a must, as well as the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
