Site Manager – Brisbane & Sunshine Coast - 6193

Our client is an Australian builder working on high- end residential and complex commercial developments, education, civil and infrastructure projects. They have several projects in Brisbane and Sunshine including retirement villages, commmerical builds, schools civil and other exciting projects. We are looking to hire several Site Managers on behalf our client, based in Brisbane.

Role and responsibilities

The Site Manager is the person in charge of all on site operations, working with customers / clients and subcontractors and ensuring the building contract runs to schedule. The Site Manager controls all aspects of the site including planning work, arranging delivery of materials and managing a range of subcontractors, and is ultimately responsible for ensuring a contract is delivered on time.

Principal Accountabilities / KPIs:

  • Ensure the project runs to schedule and to budget,
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring staff conform to safety procedures
  • Ensure no injuries on site
  • Responsible for supervising work flow and material usage and disposal
  • Responsible for ensuring contractors operate in a safe manner & wear appropriate PPE
  • Responsible for conduction weekly site inspection

Ensure ALL records are up to date & filed e.g. – Hammertech (inductions, site diary, plant inductions, QA forms, weekly inspections, works permits, etc.)

  • Regular review of Project Risk Assessment
  • Regular review of Site Safety & Environmental Management Plan
  • Review & sign off Subcontractor Site Safety Plans/ SWMS and ensure that works are carried out in accordance with SWMS
  • All SWMS on site, reviewed & signed off

Skills & experience

  • A good level of education including mathematics skills
  • Knowledge of construction methods and materials
  • The ability to interpret plans, specifications and technical drawings
  • Good people skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Leadership skills,
  • Effective oral & written communication
