We’re looking for an experienced, proactive Site Manager to oversee daily activities on a renewable energy construction site. You’ll be the key link between the senior project team and the on-ground workforce, responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality work from piling through mechanical installation.

This is a hands-on, field-based role — you’ll spend most of your time out in the field, with some basic office tasks, driving the team and maintaining momentum on the ground.

Location: Pilbara, WA (FIFO from Perth)
Roster: 2:1 swing
Start: ASAP – project runs through December

You’ll be joining a leading Australian construction contractor specialising in large-scale renewable energy projects, delivering innovative solar and mechanical installations across regional Australia. You’ll be stepping into a field-based leadership role on a significant solar construction project — managing a large, skilled workforce and ensuring the seamless delivery of site operations.

Role and responsibilities

• Oversee a site workforce of ~120 people, ensuring safe, efficient, and quality execution of all works.
• Plan and manage daily activities, resources, and priorities in line with the construction program.
• Act as the bridge between the Project Manager and site personnel — providing clarity, leadership, and direction.
• Foster a positive team environment, maintaining authority while building rapport and trust with the crew.
• Conduct toolbox talks, daily briefings, and promote company values throughout the site.
• Monitor plant and equipment condition, ensuring everything is operational and well-maintained.
• Report site progress, risks, and opportunities to the senior management team.
• Uphold the highest standards of safety and compliance at all times.

Skills & experience

• Experience as a Site Manager or Supervisor on large-scale construction projects (solar experience highly regarded).
• Solid knowledge of piling and mechanical installation processes.
• A good mechanical understanding of plant & equipment and the ability to troubleshoot or guide maintenance when needed.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills — confident, proactive, and approachable.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, models, and schedules.
• Proven ability to manage resources and people effectively in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
• Hands-on, field-focused mentality — willing to lead from the ground rather than behind a desk.
