NexVentur is looking to fill a position for a Site Manager to work in South Australia.

Our client started off as a small fit-out refurbishment company in 1988. 30 years on, it’s transformed into a $50+ million business. Today, their vision remains unchanged: to be the South Australian Commercial builder of choice.

Role and Responsibilities

The site manager will be accountable for the following:

  • Effective management of all aspects of construction sites
  • Ensure the delivery of projects on time, within budget and to customer expectation
  • Provide quality customer service to both internal and external clients.
  • Accountable to the Operations Manager/Director and responsible for working with all staff.
  • Lead and manage collective agreement employees and apprentices
  • Co-ordinate and manage sub-contractors
  • Quality, safety and environment management
  • Customer relationships management and site management

Skills & Requirements

Construction – provide specific knowledge of the construction industry and construction operations including an understanding of labour requirements, job specifications and the ability to read and interpret construction documentation.

Time management – the successful candidate will have highly developed organisation skills, with an ability to cope with pressure workload and work to deadlines to deliver work in full and on time (DIFOT).

Accuracy – advanced attention to detail is required with a demonstrated ability to assess sites and implications for project completion.

Interpersonal skills – have an ability to effectively listen and interact with diverse internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating high levels of customer service to build our clients’ reputation and repeat client base.

Negotiation skills – have advanced negotiation skills with an ability to negotiate with contractors, clients and suppliers to achieve best outcomes and resolve disputes.

Communication – show commitment to delivering the best communication in the industry.

Self-direction – have the ability to work autonomously, under limited direction, to manage high volumes of work, determine priorities and meet deadlines.

Work, Health and Safety – show commitment to providing a safe workplace with minimal impact to the environment.

Problem solving – have advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to formulate and implement cost effective, quality solutions.
