NexVentur is urgently looking to recruit Underground Utility Locators for a busy Utility locating company in Perth, Western Australia.

Excellent remuneration package with sign-up bonus available.

Role and responsibilities

• Our client operates from a cloud-based booking system, all job details will be in the operators calendar
• Experienced Locators generally go from home to site each day.
• In our yard, we currently have 3x Vacuum Excavation Trailers (currently 3x operators/ Locator Trainees)
• Monthly Toolbox meetings with food and drinks supplied during work hours
• Standard hours are 0600-1800.
• Hours of work are 8-12 hours per day
• We have regular rural away work which can be from 1 day to 2 weeks usually, our away rates are very competitive.
• Type of work is varied, We have some Large Tier 1 clients with regular work on rail projects, council project works, small 2-4 hour jobs etc.
• These works may be done solo by a Locator sometimes taking a vac trailer for potholing (digging up) utilities OR With a crew (1 or more assistants)]
• Types of works may be for design, Excavation, Utility installation, Footings, Data, Problem solving etc.

Skills & experience

• Basic Locating Underground Services experience.
• Basic Electro Magnetic Locator Experience
• Basic Ground Penetrating Radar Experience
• Vacuum excavation Experience
• High level computer literacy
• Basic level civil construction understanding/experience.
• Ability to understand and interpret BYDA plans.
• Ability to understand and interpret Client reference plans/engineering plans.
• Team player attitude
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Benefits

• $5000 sign up Bonus! ($1000 initial, $4000 on probation Completion)
• Flat Hourly Rates 6am-6pm
• Double time for all night works
• Double time for all weekend works
• Time and a half for all regional/away work + allowance
• We conduct 6 monthly performance reviews, a bonus payment of up to a maximum of 2 weeks’ pay is awarded pending the performance review.
• Our client will pay for all accreditations and qualifications required.
• Superannuation paid on ALL hours worked.
