How to exchange your Australian driver’s license for an Irish one

As a visitor in Ireland, you are allowed to drive with a valid driver’s license from any non-EU/EEA country for up to one year. However, once you establish ‘normal residence’ in Ireland, you must either exchange your foreign license for an Irish one or apply for a new Irish driver’s license. Step 1. Check if you’re eligible for an Irish driver’s license

You’ll need the following documents to exchange your license:
